ABOUT US
The 4WD and Van Centre and 4HIRE were both founded in 1995 by
Corkill's Garage, Onchan, owners Ian and Roz Corkill utilising
rented premises in Union Mills. Following nine years of
year-on-year growth, the yard was eventually outgrown and the
decision was taken in 2003 to purchase a new 2.5 acre site on the
Isle of Man Business Park, and consequently the business was
transferred there a year later in 2004.
Since then, 4HIRE has invested heavily in replacing its fleet
with new vehicles, and now the majority of vans used for our on and
off-Island rentals are brand new Ford Transits, with the car fleet
being totally replaced recently with brand new Vauxhall cars.
On the sales side of the business, the 4WD and Van Centre always
keep a stock of over 100 vans, tippers, minibuses and four wheel
drive vehicles (mainly commercial types). As the Island's biggest
independent supplier (we're not tied to any one manufacturer) of
new and used vans, we are able to supply any make of new commercial
vehicle and our workshop staff have the technical ability to back
up any vehicles that we supply. We also have access to a vast
number of low mileage, late model used vans through our UK supply
partners, so we can generally source the right vehicle for you -
